October 2005Bob Jahrig

Folk

Bob Jahrig bio (not a proper one, really, just being put down after the fact, actually).  You shoud'a been tuned in at this one, but alas - despite that - you nevertheless possibly missed it. No worries, mate, it will no doubt happen again, we can't imagine that it won't, this guy is a MUST SEE!  (are we stating this strongly enough?)  OK, we'll be sure it does! Bob loves to play and it shows.
November 2005Terry Morrison

Folk

Terry Morrison bio, stay tunified; a fabulous folk artist; looking forward to having her again, need to get a bigger place first!  People crammed in like sardines, which harms the tea, don't cha know? www.TerryMorrison.com
January 2006Karla Anderson

Folk

Karla Anderson, what can we say?  Voted biggest/best new up-and-comer /emerger folkie-wise, by (who was it?), Oh yeah, just the very first Canadian Folk Music Awards!, and well-deserved.  Must be seen to be appreciated, or heard, that's good too, if you can't get out to see her.  Sounds like we're selling my favourite 1968 Mustang 390 GT (not for sale, actually).  If you get another chance and you missed her this time, dang' nabit, be there!  Next time we'll knock out some walls to make room for just you.  Incidentally, Karla donated 1/2 her CD sales to the Edmonton Edge Ringette Team at the 2006 Fundraiser she performed at.  Thanks K.A.!  Check out www.KarlaAnderson.com

The City of Edmonton presented him with an award this summer recognizing his contribution to the arts & music on a national level.  From opening for legendary bluesman Robert Lockwood Jr. at the Ottawa Blues Festival to playing shows with Big Sugar and Kelley Joe Phelps in Alberta, Mark Sterling successfully tours not only in Canada but internationally as well. He is one of Canada’s top bluesmen.  Sorry you missed this if you did - it was fabulous!  You have to stop hiding out on Thursday evenings!  Join us for some tea and blues. www.MarkSterling.com
