As much as I love black teas I find myself attuned to green teas now that spring has finally arrived. I enjoy the clean, bright flavour offered by a cup of green tea. If the bitterness associated with green tea interferrs with you enjoying a cup, try adjusting the amount you use and the water temperature. Use more tea if you require more body. Catch the water before it boils. Submit the tea to a variety of timings to find what works for you. The lower the temperature, the longer the steeping. The more tea you use the shorter the steeping.
No, it's not straight forward.
